DenseLight sets a New Gold Standard with 100-mW class Superluminescent
LEDs>> |
| |
Singapore, 31 August 2004
–
DenseLight Semiconductors Private Limited ("DenseLight")
has achieved a new industrial record of 120 mW
output superluminescent LED chip at 1550nm.
With this capability, the company enables hundred-milliwatt-class
semiconductor broadband light source solutions. DenseLight achieved a
similar record-breaking feat last year when she announced her 25 mW
1550nm SLED module, breaching the sub-10mW operating limit in
conventional SLEDs. Continuous technological innovations in SLED
technology has allowed the company to push the power envelop of SLEDs to
higher levels.

DenseLight SLED goes LIVE in optical
networks |
| |
Singapore, 14 May 2004
-
DenseLight Semiconductors is pleased to announce that our
Superluminescent LED (SLED) has gone "LIVE" - it is now deployed in
optical networks carrying revenue generating traffic. This is the only
SLED accepted for deployment in carrier class optical networking
equipment. "This historical event signifies the acceptance of SLEDs,
and of DenseLight, by Tier-I carriers worldwide. DenseLight began
volume shipment of SLED products last year and recently secured a volume
purchase agreement (VPA) from a key customer" observed Dr. Yee Loy Lam,
CEO of DenseLight.

DenseLight achieves Telcordia
qualification and expands Superluminescent LED (SLED) portfolio |
| |
Singapore, 21 January 2004
- DenseLight
Semiconductors Private Limited ("DenseLight")
announces that her Superluminescent LEDs (SLEDs) have successfully
passed Telcordia’s GR-468-CORE, “Reliability Assurance Requirements for
Optoelectronics Devices Used in Telecommunications Equipment”. The
company has completed the vigorous 7-month testing process that includes
mechanical, endurance, 5000-hour accelerated-ageing and ripple-ageing
tests. The results validate the inherent reliability of DenseLight’s
SLEDs, which are then packaged in industrially established form-factors.
In particular, the GR-468-CORE represents a mark of quality in active
optoelectronic devices, historically for the telecommunication industry.
It is by far the most definitive standard in qualification and
characterization of active devices and its intention is to establish a
hallmark of reliability under harsh operating conditions.

DenseLight Wins the SLED Race:
DenseLight Announces Best-in-Class 1550nm Superluminescent LEDs ! |
|
Singapore, 19 August 2003
-
DenseLight Semiconductors Private Limited ("DenseLight")
has rolled out the highest-power superluminescent light emitting diode
(SLED) in commercial volumes. At 1550nm the
DL-CS5203A produces power of at least 20mW, clearly the best-in-class
performance. In addition, the DL-CS5107A is another unique product that
generates optical power beyond 10mW with a wide bandwidth of 60nm. There
is an increasing demand for these SLEDs for commercial instrumentation,
medical applications and photonic sensing systems as sensitivities can
be vastly improved, allowing better signal-to-noise ratios, greater
penetration depths, increased responsivities, and many more benefits.
