Singapore, 18 December 2003 – DenseLight Semiconductors Private Limited ("DenseLight") proudly announces that the company has successfully obtained the ISO 9001:2000 certification - a quality standard that is recognized and respected throughout the world. The registration approval was received from SGS International Certification Services, a global leading verification, testing, and certification company following an extensive independent review of the Company’s quality management system. The audit of DenseLight’s ISO 9001:2000 certification covers: "Design & Development and Manufacture of photonic devices" with zero "critical non-conformities" found.
The new version of the ISO 9001 standard places greater emphasis on top management involvement in the quality process, as well as a greater focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. The standard is designed to look at all the important processes affecting quality, from product realization, to the packaging and delivery of the product.
