CIOE 2022 (the 24th China International Optoelectronic Exposition),will be held from September 7-9, 2022 at Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center.

Known as the world’s largest optoelectronic event, CIOE 2022 will showcase up-to-date optoelectronic technologies and comprehensive solutions for optoelectronic applications, enabling industry players to source optoelectronic products, to gain latest marketing insights and to network with key Chinese optoelectronic players.

Abstract:
With increasing bandwidth demands from Datacenters, cost per bandwidth capacity, bandwidth density and energy efficiency becomes increasingly important.

The need for SerDes connections with pluggable significantly affects their deployable capacity per rack unit. Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) reduce the power consumption of SerDes connection, and together with Silicon Photonics integration, presents an attractive solution to increase capacity, reduce overall system power and cost per capacity.

Here we present and discuss a high power CW DFB laser that is suitable for CPO applications and can be integrated onto a Silicon Photonics platform.
