Job Summary

• To maintain and develop optoelectronics compound semiconductors wafer processes and capabilities aligned to the company’s technology and product roadmap, aligned to and integrated with in-house and outsource manufacturing capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains and carries out engineering improvement on FAB (Wafer Process) quality indices and systems such as Line Yield and Statistical Process Control.
• Upkeeps all process design documentation and manages process change control.
• Supports Operations in ensuring production and new product development output meets planner’s demand on schedule and meets yield & quality targets.
• Execute development & improvements plans by ensuring that manufacturing processes, procedures, and associated process validations aligns with LEAN methodology.
• Performs new process development and engineering execution of all FAB (Wafer Process) activities for realization of optoelectronics and photonics integrated circuits to meet NPI/NPD design goals and requirements.
• Set up quality program for NPI/NPD projects, including the creation of control documentation, establishing process control and training of engineers/technicians/operators.
• Assists in the assessment and execution of reliability and process qualification of new process modules for new equipment or outsource FAB process vendors/suppliers.
• Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates or leads in special projects as required.

Qualification Guidelines

• Minimum Education
  • Degree
• Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wafer fabrication process with some experience in manufacturing/process development, operations management in the field of photonics, semiconductors, telecommunications, company with similar or larger size and market capitalization.
    
• Specific Knowledge / Skills
  • Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality and Operations.
  • Adequate experience with SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date production and automation equipment, processes, designs, and functions
  • Strong knowledge of dry and/or wet etch processes
